Star Quilt

Hi Everyone,

I finished another quilt this week. The fabric in this one is Sentiments by 3 Sisters. I used a fat quarter for a lot of it, then augmented it with some yardage from a local quilt store. The pattern can be purchased from The Fat Quarter Shop. It's definitely a quilt for quilters with lots of experience and patience.

Papertrey Ink Tag Contest

Hi Everyone,

As soon as I read that the contest for today involved making a tag, I knew immediately that I wanted to use Debbie Olsen's tag that she made using Sweet Spring and the Tag Sale Die #3.

So here is my card using that tag:

PTI Anniversary Contest II

Hi Everyone,

Since I have time, I thought I'd submit a second card to the PTI Anniversary contest. This time I CASEd Dawn McVey's card, which is here:

I happened to remember that Nichole had used these poinsettia flowers from a Christmas set, and using different ink, made them look like flowers. This was my chance to use that idea. I can see lots of opportunities to mix up the color combinations on this layout. Here is my card:

PTI February Contest

Hi Everyone,

Here is my entry into the PTI challenge this week. I used Danielle's card as an inspiration for the challenge.
Here is Danielle's card:

And here is my CASE:

I didn't trust myself to do the hexagon background, so I used some of PTI's Bitty Box Basics paper as a background strip. Much easier and safer.

Papertrey Ink January Blog Hop

Hi Everyone,

Here is a card I made for PTI's blog hop this month. It's been a while since I've stamped, months actually. The one thing I like about this color combination is that it photographs nicely. The paper and flower are from PTI. The hello sentiment is from the Sweet Spring stamp set. I needed something generic and small for the sentiment, and that one is just perfect.

Another Quilt

Hi Everyone,

I finished another quilt that only took a couple of weeks this time. Much easier than the last quilt I made. This one looks great in my family room, which is done in yellow and red, but it still looks good hanging over the rocking chair.

The quilt is from a kit at the Fat Quarter Shop and is called Chantilly. I downloaded the pattern from there and then bought the fabric at my local quilt shop. The kit didn't come out until this month, and I was too impatient to wait for it. Hope you like it.

Quilt for Christine

Hi Everyone,

I can finally post pictures of the quilt I made for my oldest daughter for Christmas. This was quite an undertaking, but when I finished, I was really proud of it. The quilt is a kit named One Winter's Night from fatquartershop.com, but I noticed they are no longer selling it as a kit. The pattern and fabric requirements are in the Best Christmas Quilts 2012 magazine. I went to their Web site and couldn't find an older issue of this magazine. If you are interested, you can contact either of these sites for help.

There is a white spot on the bottom of the quilt in this picture. That is the sun streaming in through the window.
