Make It Monday

Hi Everyone, Here is the card I made for Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday. I used the Rule of 3, and am glad to be reminded that this makes a good balance on the card.

Here is the card I made yesterday. It's a similar layout, but I didn't use the Rule of 3, and although it's okay, I think the Rose/Summer Sunrise card looks more balanced:

Hi Everyone, Here is the card I made for the Papertrey Ink April blog hop. I had seen similar layouts on the Internet. Debbie Olsen has one and there was another one, but I can't remember the site. This card is fun to create using different color combinations, but I found through trial and error that it is best to limit the colors to two plus the green. Otherwise, it gets too busy and overwhelming.

You can see, there are lots of ways to use different colors on this that look terrific together. This is a card I made for my daughter's birthday that we celebrated over the weekend.

Here is my card for the Papertrey Ink Make it Monday submission. It ended up being really fun to make, especially based on Betsy Veldman's instructions. This could be a new way of making cards for me, although since I send all my cards to OWH for heroes deployed overseas, I do still need to keep the cards relatively simple.

This daisy flower and die from Hero Arts is so much fun to use. There are three flowers in the set, but this is my favorite. I think it gives the right amount of whimsy to a card.

Hi Everyone, I have been having lots of fun with these new flowers and dies from Hero Arts. They are whimsical and fun--I have a feeling I'll be using these a lot, because they're fun to work with. I just stamp them and then run them through the Big Shot, then color. There are so many great colors you could use and really change up the look. Enjoy!
